The 2025 Emmy Awards produced a mix of expected wins and surprise victories on Sunday night, with The Pitt, Adolescence and The Studio emerging as the biggest winners.
The Pitt, the political thriller that has gained strong critical acclaim, won Best Drama Series, with Noah Wyle also taking home Lead Actor in a Drama Series. Katherine LaNasa added to the show’s haul with Supporting Actress in a Drama, while Tramell Tillman won Supporting Actor for his role in Severance.
In the comedy categories, The Studio secured Best Comedy Series, with Seth Rogen winning Lead Actor and the show also taking the writing award. Jean Smart triumphed again for Lead Actress in a Comedy for her role in Hacks, while her co-star Hannah Einbinder picked up Supporting Actress. Jeff Hiller won Supporting Actor in a Comedy for Somebody Somewhere.
Adolescence was the night’s standout in limited series, claiming the top award for Best Limited or Anthology Series. Stephen Graham won Lead Actor, while Erin Doherty and Owen Cooper collected Supporting Actress and Supporting Actor respectively. Cristin Milioti won Lead Actress for her performance in The Penguin.
The Traitors was named Outstanding Reality Competition Program, and The Late Show with Stephen Colbert won Outstanding Talk Series.
